Can I Ping a Website from FireFox? On any platform that runs the Fox?

You sure can Ping websites, servers or what have you right from within The Fox! All it takes is some clever bookmarking ala Lifehacker and a website added to your favorites. And yes it is all sorts of cross browsing/pinging goodness. As it works anywhere where any version of FireFox will run!

Fire up the fox and go add this as a bookmark:

I did the same thing the Gina Trapani did and added the favorite as PING. Now when I type Ping AskTheAdmin.com in the Fire Fox address bar, I get this in return:

Ping 64.202.189.170

I can replace my domain name with any external IP address or Fully Qualified Host Name to get my response back quickly. Great tool for my office machine. Great find as always Gina...
