I have this problem:

How can I resolve this problem, my websense manager is in a computer running, windows server 2003

Thank you in advance

Resolution:

The Websense Manager Logon dialog box contains fields for User Name, Password, and Domain. In order to log on successfully, you must select the correct domain for the user name and password that you have entered.

To log on as WebsenseAdministrator:

  1. Enter the User Name WebsenseAdministrator.

  2. Notice, the User Name WebsenseAdministrator is case sensitive with no
    space.

  3. Enter the WebsenseAdministrator Password.

  4. From the Domain drop down menu, select the blank (null) field.

  5. Click OK.

If you incorrectly type your user name or password, or if you have not
selected the correct domain, you will receive an "Invalid user name or password"
error. If this occurs, verify that you have selected the correct domain, and
then enter your user name and password again. If you are still unable to log on,
please contact Technical Support for assistance.

If you make multiple attempts to log on as a user who does not exist in
the selected domain, you are locked out of Websense Manager with one of the
following errors:

You do not have permissions to access Websense Manager.

If you previously had a standard edition of Websense software, the Delegated
Administration and Reporting features described in Chapter 8, Delegated
Administration, of the Websense Web Security Suite and Websense Enterprise
Administrator's Guide have been enabled. When you log on to Websense Manager, a
new Select Role dialog box appears after you enter your user name and
password.

  • Select the Super Administrator role.
  • Click OK.
  • Perform your administrative tasks.
