Amazon challenges PayPal and Google Checkout. Is this going to be the war of Goliath vs. Goliath vs. Goliath?

Michael Arrington of Tech Crunch writes:
"Look for a launch announcement by Amazon this week or next of a new web service around payments, adding to their S3 (storage), EC2 (virtual server) and other services. They’ve been quietly testing the service, which will compete with PayPal and Google Checkout, for a few weeks. It is an extension of the existing Amazon Payments, which allows third parties selling items on Amazon’s extended network to receive payments from buyers."

This will truly be a battle royale. HUGE. I wonder what impacts this type of thing can (if any) have on their respective stock prices. In any case I place my bets on google for who will emerge victorious in this battle of all battles to end all battles (but not the war). Anyone else have any predictions? drop a comment below...
