Good comment man Even though you did it twice!

We can call you Ricky Two Times.

Gotta get the papers the papers.Karl L. No MMS, no wireless sync with your own PC, no sync with industry standard software (This is outside of the no synchronization with exchange or even outlook by itself)

While I agree the interface is spiffy, I've been running the same interface for the last 6 mos on my Xv6700 which does everything that even a non geek would want (see my wife). No 3rd party programs, that even a general person would want such as a recipie program or a fitness tracker. Fully closed system preventing anyone from even making simple software like that for the non-geek.

Edge? Cmon, the world has been moving to 3g for a long time. Apple could have forced AT&T/cingular's hand and made a 3g phone. They didn't.

In the end Apple could have done something awesome that would have put every other pda/smart phone in the ground but greed, paranoia, and lack of respect for their business customers will sadly make the iphone fall flat when everyone realizes it can't do what they want. (This is my opinion as a network engineer anyway)

Gimmie an LG Prada, I can do everything the iphone can't with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35119159.post-31868798854820594152007-07-03T08:32:00.000-04:002007-07-03T08:32:00.000-04:00Justin, it's not so much a "Geek thing". Unfortunately, I am one of the "normal consumers" that I mentioned earlier, and if you are looking for someone to post technical tips or advanced hints, then I am the wrong person. I try to keep on the cutting edge of whats available for my Apple and Non-Apple hardware, but technically, there is little I could offer that is not available in more depth elsewhere. Now if you want some Apple commentary, then I would be happy to provide that.Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14468525054595151327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35119159.post-88072173517403783212007-06-19T12:22:00.000-04:002007-06-19T12:22:00.000-04:00Thank you for your post Justin and you are right i...Thank you for your post Justin and you are right in many ways (other than me trying to push buggy software to keep my job alive :))

There are different gadgets for different people and no I do not have a dislike for Apple and I really do like their products. I have made the same comment before Moto Released their first Q - and I was dead on the money. But their were some users that loved it.

To each there own and I am only out here giving my feelings on the subject and it is open to discussion.

Would you like to do some MAC Posts? Maybe a tip of the week or something along that nature - to give our reader the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS?

Karl L. Gechlik
_TheAdmiN_Karl L. You are beyond foolish if you thought for even one millisecond that CE device that Apple makes is going to have all the nerdy techie features that a person like you would want. It is designed for normal consumers not hardcore techno-geeks.

Next time one of your people asks you about the iPhone rather than asking them why, ask them if they care that it does not have an "SDK" or an "emulator" or a "community hacks". Chances are they do not have a clue what those are, and from the sound of them will be glad they don't have to hassle with them.

So I agree that the iPhone will suck...for you. Its the last device you should buy. But you are not within a million miles of the customer that Apple is targeting. In fact I would say they are trying to avoid people like you as customers.

And I won't even get into the probability that you dislike of Apple is based on a self serving interest to maintain the value of your presence by pushing buggy and complicated windows based technologies on to others that will later require you to come back and help them troubleshoot or repair.Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14468525054595151327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35119159.post-38844862625240528092007-06-19T09:22:00.000-04:002007-06-19T09:22:00.000-04:00YEAH WHO WANTS AN IPHONE ANYWAY!YEAH WHO WANTS AN IPHONE ANYWAY!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35119159.post-85132123972089039902007-06-18T16:57:00.000-04:002007-06-18T16:57:00.000-04:00I really like your site - good luck man.
