We use McAfee at my day job (I hate it, it doesn't catch a damn thing!), At my last company we switched to Symantec, which was way more effective.

Comodo is really good for home use though. If you read deeper into the article, it is recommended for the home users who let their license run out for their home antivirus.

As far as Windows firewall. It is okay for filtering incoming traffic. As far as filtering outbound traffic, it is sketchy at best. I prefer a 3rd party like Comodo or ZoneAlarm.El DiPablohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14512110816007529233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35119159.post-91196376700461415622007-06-29T23:21:00.000-04:002007-06-29T23:21:00.000-04:00No Anonymous! But if you have some e-business, you’d better look at commercial products, that have development team, good support, frequent updates, etc. I use Agnitum Outpost Security Suite ob both of my desktop PC and notebook, and never regret about that small price paid for my protection. With all program features (effective firewall, antivirus engine, anti-spyware, anti-banner, anti-spam plugins)it looks really great.
P.S.
